Summit Arena at the Monument in Rapid City will be the site for the State Competitive Cheer and Competitive Dance Championships on October 25-26, 2024. Competition will begin at 5:00 PM MT on Friday, October 25 for Class A performances. Class AA competition will begin at 11:00 AM MT on Saturday, October 26.
The cheer competition consists of stunting/tumbling teams. Dance competition will have three categories: pom, hip hop and jazz. Schools will be allowed to compete in a maximum of two categories.
To qualify for the State Competition, each school must compete in a minimum of two competitions during the regular season. There will be a formal awards ceremony following competition on both Friday and Saturday.
Adult tickets are $15.00 each (plus facility fees) per day, with student tickets at $10.00 each (plus facility fees) per day. Tickets may be purchased onsite or online at https://www.themonument.live/events/detail/statecheeranddance24.
